Q: Alternative address shipping
Will you post to another address?
A:
I will gladly post your order to an alternative address (for example if it is gift) if you email me with the details on payment using the box provided.
Q: Methods of shipment
What methods do you use for shipment
A:
Items are almost all dispatched using the Royal Mail postal service and depending on which level of postage you have chosen it should be with you within two to five working days after it has been processed. I obtain proof of postage for all packages dispatched and will provide you with details in the unlikely event that your package should go astray. If an insured package goes missing in transit I will contact Royal Mail to attempt to locate your package and if this search proves unsuccessful I will file a claim for non delivery and replace your order.
I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage in transit by the Royal Mail and I am unable to replace missing items unless insurance cover has been purchased (please select the postal insurance option from the additional services category in the shipping section if you wish to take advantage of this cover). Please note that glass or ceramic ware is NOT insured against damage in transit. Please retain any packaging as photographic evidence of damage may be required for any claim.
If you order is large or heavy, I will dispatch it using a courier or Collect+ if you prefer. Please contact me for details of this service.
Q: Acceptable methods of payment
How can I pay for my items?
A:
You can send an instant payment using your credit or debit card via PayPal. Please be aware that you do not need to have a PayPal account to pay for your order using this method and your card details are not at any stage divulged to me.
I also accept personal cheques (please be advised that orders paid for by cheque will not be dispatched until the funds are cleared) or postal orders: please contact me for payee details.

Who are the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers?
A:
The Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers was formed by a group of dedicated crafters in September 2007 and was officially launched on Friday 14th Sept 2007.
The Guild has two very specific aims:
(1) to raise awareness of the legislative standards that are in place that apply to craft soap and toiletry makers
(2) To register as members of the Guild crafters who work in compliance with this legislation and who hold relevant public liability insurance
It is not generally known that in order to legally sell a crafted soap or toiletry product to the public that it must meet legislative guidelines. The reason for this is public safety. This has created a situation where the public may be buying sub-standard products made with unsafe and untested ingredients. Crafters who work in compliance with the legislation find themselves alongside crafters who do not.
In order to become a member of you have to go through a thorough, completely independent verification process by the Guild. You have to provide proof that you are trading in compliance with EU regulations for the manufacture and sale of cosmetics and that your business holds the required insurance.
Only members of the Guild are authorised to display the logo of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers and I am proud to have been accepted as a member of the Guild.
